Women investors in India nearly triple their allocation to gold exchange-traded funds (ETFs) within mutual fund portfolios over the past year, according to AMFI data cited by NDTV. The share of gold ETF holdings in women’s mutual fund portfolios rises to 16.4% in FY26 from 6.4% a year earlier.

The report frames the shift as part of a broader move toward precious metals. It notes that gold ETFs are outperforming equity ETFs for the first time on record, indicating that the change in women’s allocations coincides with a wider rebalancing by investors toward gold-linked products.
