Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum endorses Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris for a second term, praising his leadership and record. Zulum makes the remarks during a courtesy visit in Maiduguri by media aides to Idris, led by Kebbi’s Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Birnin Kebbi.

Zulum says he first became familiar with Idris during Idris’s campaign for a second term and describes him as a respected comrade who unites people across political and ethnic lines. He urges Kebbi residents to support continuity, arguing an eight-year tenure would help consolidate gains in areas including security, education, agriculture, healthcare, road infrastructure, and human capital development. He also cites impressions from a prior visit to Kebbi, including investments in education and healthcare, road construction, agriculture, a modern secretariat, a central motor park, and empowerment programmes for farmers, youths, and the elderly.

According to another report, The Punch frames the event as Zulum endorsing Idris for re-election and highlights the broader theme of praise for Idris’s leadership and achievements. Both accounts present the endorsement as part of efforts to strengthen ties and share experience between the two states.
