Petrol and diesel prices rise again after fresh revisions by state-owned oil marketing companies. Multiple outlets report that petrol is increased by about Rs 2.61 per litre and diesel by about Rs 2.71 per litre in Delhi, as part of the fourth price increase in roughly two weeks. The latest Delhi rates reported are petrol at Rs 102.12 per litre (up from Rs 99.51) and diesel at Rs 95.20 per litre (up from Rs 92.49). Earlier increases in the same period include a rise of about 87–91 paise per litre on a prior date, described as the third hike since May 15, when daily fuel price revisions resumed after a prolonged pause.

Across the reports, the cumulative effect is described as pushing petrol and diesel higher by almost Rs 7.5 per litre since May 15. Outlets also attribute the hikes to elevated international crude oil prices and a weakening rupee, which increase import costs and lead oil companies to pass on the changes through calibrated fuel price adjustments.
