Meesho’s ongoing income tax dispute increases to roughly ₹2,072 crore in the fiscal year 2025-26 (FY26), according to reports. This marks more than a threefold rise compared with the previous figure discussed by outlets.
The dispute relates to tax demand notices raised by Income Tax authorities. For FY24-25, the authorities issued a demand notice of more than ₹572 crore, which Meesho challenges in court and for which it has received a stay order. Outlets note that Meesho continues to contest these demands while operating and investing in areas such as technology and customer acquisition.
