Paradox Interactive and Iceflake Studios announce Lego Skylines, a LEGO-styled spin-off in the Cities: Skylines series. The game is presented as a “brick-built” city builder where players build from a single plot of land—starting with customizing a house—before expanding to a neighborhood and then a full city.

The announcement comes after a turbulent period for Cities: Skylines 2, which launched in 2023 with performance issues. Development for that game eventually shifts from Colossal Order to Iceflake Studios, with Paradox continuing as publisher, and the new project reflects that handover. Outlets also note that recent reports and leaks were corroborated by the reveal.

Gameplay details shared across sources include city-management systems resembling the original series, such as balancing electricity, food, and water distribution, alongside building public amenities like parks, museums, and sports venues. Iceflake’s leadership frames the concept as personal to its team, drawing on members’ experience building LEGO sets. A release date is not provided.

Lego Skylines is confirmed for PC and current-generation consoles, and sources list Nintendo Switch 2 as well; the exact timing remains undisclosed.
