Gateway Mining is reporting continued progress in its Yandal gold project near Wiluna, Western Australia, including an extension of its Cowza discovery and additional drilling results elsewhere in the project. The company says the Cowza discovery has been extended to about 4.5 kilometres of strike, alongside high-grade intercepts reported at a nearby prospect.
Across outlets, the Cowza results are described as including an 8-metre intersection grading 2.1 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, and a separate high-grade 4-metre intersection at Celia South grading 9.7g/t. Coverage characterises these as extensions and corroborating results from adjacent targets within the broader Yandal Belt region.
Other reports add a different but related development from further drilling at the Ward prospect. Gateway Mining’s aircore drilling is described as defining a 7-kilometre-long gold anomaly along the regional-scale Celia Shear, with intercepts reported up to 4 metres at 4g/t gold. Earlier reporting on the same campaign also refers to a new high-grade hard-rock discovery at Cowza, following a 41-metre hit at 2g/t gold from 104 metres depth.
