The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kano arrests two suspected cattle rustlers after intercepting them at a mining checkpoint and recovering a stolen cow. Authorities say the suspects were found with the cow and weapons, including machetes, during the operation.
The arrests take place around 3am on Tuesday at the Tudun Wada–Kiru Road, at Rahama Round in Kiru Local Government Area. One outlet identifies the suspects as 45-year-old Jamilu Saadu and 37-year-old Nura Abdullahi, while another reports the same incident, describing the interception and arrest and citing the NSCDC Kano public relations officer confirming the details.
