Liverpool are exploring a move for Crystal Palace winger Ismaila Sarr after their bids for Brighton & Hove Albion’s Yankuba Minteh are rejected. Multiple reports say Liverpool have stepped back from the Minteh pursuit and are now focusing on Sarr as they continue to look for wide attacking reinforcements.
BBC and other outlets report that Brighton turn down Liverpool’s bids for Minteh, with Yahoo and Soccer News adding that Liverpool had offers in the £50 million to £60 million range. The Mirror reports that Liverpool abandoned the Minteh talks after deciding Brighton’s valuation was too high, with Minteh described as being rated around £70 million. In response, Liverpool make an offer for Sarr, with one report placing Liverpool’s initial bid at £50 million. While Sarr is said to fit a similar right-sided winger profile and has recently had a productive season for Palace, at least one outlet reports that Crystal Palace are not open to selling him this summer.
