Microsoft’s Xbox 25th Anniversary Series X bundle priced at $899, preorders open

Microsoft has finally opened preorders for its Xbox 25th Anniversary Collection console and controller bundle. It costs $899.99.

The Xbox 25th anniversary bundle includes a translucent green Series X, a similarly-colored controller and a digital download of Halo: Campaign Evolved.

Microsoft has announced that preorders for the 25th-anniversary edition of the Xbox Series X are now open (at least to some), and if you want one, it's going to cost you. As rumored, the 1TB console will cost $900, which is $100 more than the standard Xbox Series X. It features a translucent green design and sports an "Xbox 25" logo to celebrate the milestone. The bundle comes with a special-edition 25th-anniversary translucent green Xbox controller as well. It's also the first Halo game on PlayStation. The translucent green Xbox Series X launches in November. Microsoft is opening up preorders today, August 26, for "some of Xbox's most dedicated fans." Everyone else, meanwhile, can try to get their hands on one starting August 27 at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET through Xbox or other retailers.
