A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos orders the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to produce social media influencer and businessman Afolabi Kazeem Micheal, popularly known as “KC Luxury,” before the court. The order is made after the court finds that he has been held for about 14 days without being formally charged or arraigned.
The ruling is issued on an ex parte application under the Fundamental Rights (Enforcement Procedure) Rules. Outlets report that KC Luxury is linked to a major drug case in which NDLEA intercepted a cocaine consignment of about 184.5kg, said to be valued at roughly ₦39 billion. Reports also say he was arrested on August 18, 2026, at Lagos airport while allegedly attempting to flee to Paris.
While the outlets emphasize the court’s directive to present him in court due to the failure to charge him, they do not present conflicting details on the core procedural issue.
