A 28-year-old Blinkit delivery boy, Vivek Meena, is shot dead in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, after a dispute at a momos stall on Thursday night. Police say the argument between Meena and two young men escalates, and the men allegedly pull out a country-made pistol and shoot him in the head from close range. He collapses on the road and is taken to a hospital by ambulance, where doctors declare him dead on arrival.
Police respond to reports from the Bahodapur police station area (Anand Nagar) and start investigating possible motives, including whether the attack is linked to an old enmity or a personal dispute. Officers also begin checking CCTV footage from the scene and nearby routes to identify the shooters, who are reported to be absconding.
After the killing, delivery workers and others protest outside the police station and block the road. Protesters also damage parts of a government ambulance by throwing stones. Gwalior SSP Dharmveer Singh Yadav tells protesters that arrests will be made within about 12 hours, and the blockade is later called off.
