Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister approves India’s first dedicated Quantum and Artificial Intelligence university campus in Amaravati. The proposed campus is set to cover about 8.5 acres, with an estimated investment of around ₹730 crore over five years.
Multiple outlets report that the project will be funded through a central Government of India grant-in-aid from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), covering the campus cost. The Hindu adds that the facility is associated with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology and that planning is in place for academic and skill-development activities to start in September 2026.
According to The Hindu, early programmes will run from a temporary arrangement at Acharya Nagarjuna University in Guntur while the Amaravati campus is being developed. Other reports focus on the approval and overall scale of the investment and grant, without detailing the interim start location and timeline.
