A street artist commissioned to paint a mural of snooker player Ronnie O’Sullivan in Sheffield responds to criticism that the work looks “zombie-like.” The artist, Chris Ashmore, says the painting is not complete and that further work is planned.
Ashmore is commissioned to create the artwork for the back wall of the Spot On snooker club, and he says several touch-ups are still to happen. The Independent reports he characterises the criticism as “didn’t feel fair,” noting that roughly three weeks remain on the project. The Guardian similarly describes public comments that the current appearance resembles a zombie, while Ashmore says he intends to adjust details before the mural is finished.
