Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) raises compressed natural gas (CNG) prices by ₹3.89 per kg in Delhi and across the Delhi-NCR network. The revised CNG rate in Delhi is set at ₹86.98 per kg, effective from August 29, according to multiple reports. NDTV also says the increase applies across the region, with Noida and Ghaziabad set at ₹95.59 per kg.

Outlets link the hike to elevated liquefied natural gas (LNG) costs for IGL. Business Line and others attribute the increase to higher spot LNG prices since the start of the West Asia conflict, which raises input costs. Times of India adds that the pricing change reflects surging international LNG prices and the broader impact of ongoing Middle East conflicts, following prior increases.

While all accounts agree on the ₹3.89 per kg figure and the region covered, they differ mainly in how they present supporting details—some emphasize specific city rates, while others focus on the international LNG and regional conflict drivers.
