Stray Kids member Lee Know donates 100 million won (about $72,000) to support relief efforts for people affected by severe flooding in Nepal. His management agency, JYP Entertainment, says he delivers the donation to World Vision on Aug. 28, with the funds intended to help displaced families in the immediate aftermath of the disaster.
According to both reports, the contribution is used for essentials such as food and nutrition assistance, clean water and sanitation, and temporary housing. Times of India also describes the support as covering supplies and a basic recovery stage following the floods. Korea Times adds that Lee Know requests the aid focus on saving children’s lives and helping families sustain their livelihoods, and it quotes him expressing hope that displaced people and relief workers can return to daily life soon.
Both outlets note Lee Know’s long-running relationship with World Vision, including child sponsorship that began in 2014, and he has donated regularly to causes in Nepal and elsewhere.
