Showbox, the Korean film and content studio, launches a new microdrama label called Showbite and plans to roll out original short-form dramas starting in September. The project is designed to expand Showbox’s presence in short-form scripted content with releases across multiple genres.
According to outlets, Showbite’s slate covers a range of themes, including romance, comedy, revenge, action-thriller, period drama, fantasy, mystery, and horror. NDTV and Variety both describe the effort as entering the microdrama space with programming aimed at audiences interested in compact, episodic storytelling.
