A cab driver employed at a private school in Delhi’s Bawana area is arrested over allegations that he sexually assaulted a three-year-old nursery student. Police say the accused lured the child with chocolates and touched her inappropriately on multiple occasions, including reportedly near a washroom.

The case comes to light after the girl’s mother notices changes in her behaviour and raises concerns with the school. According to police accounts cited by outlets, school staff show the child photographs and CCTV footage to help identify the accused, after which the incident is reported to authorities. Times of India and Free Press Journal both state that an FIR is registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Outlets also describe initial investigation details, including that the accused had worked at the school for about eight months, and that police seized related material such as the accused’s mobile phone and captured CCTV footage, while investigation continues into any additional victims.
