Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries Limited, launches its entry into India’s ice cream market with a new brand, Bombay Creamery. The company says the range is made with “authentic dairy ingredients” and is positioned as an accessible premium dairy offering.

RCPL states the launch is supported by its national distribution network, retail presence and consumer insights, and it frames the brand around consistent quality without “shortcuts.” The initial range includes multiple formats—cones, cups, tubs, bars and sticks—with prices starting at Rs 10. Availability begins in western India, with a pan-India rollout planned.

One outlet also notes that RCPL has reportedly explored the category since 2023 and had been linked to discussions about a different proposed brand name. The launch is described as RCPL’s formal debut in ice cream, distinct from a separate Reliance Foundation initiative that has previously introduced its own luxury ice cream brand under Vantara Creamery.
