The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is moving toward appointing the Ram temple’s first full-time chief executive officer. A three-member selection committee has submitted its report and recommended names to the Trust, and the Trust is expected to take a final decision in a meeting scheduled for early September.

Reports say the committee completed a structured, technology-enabled selection process after reviewing thousands of applications. Sources cited by outlets report 5,585 applications were considered, with additional discussions held with shortlisted candidates before the committee forwarded a panel of three names to the Trust. The Trust also appears to be preparing related administrative appointments, including naming a secretary.

Outlets differ on the likely timing of the formal announcement. One report says the Trust will finalise and announce the CEO on September 2, while another indicates the Trust discusses service conditions and standard operating procedures on September 2 and could announce the appointment on Thursday after a candidate accepts an offer. The Trust’s stated goal is to create a dedicated executive leadership role to manage the temple’s administrative and operational requirements.
