China is restoring road access to the devastated border area in Gyirong, Tibet, to support ongoing rescue operations after deadly floods and landslides. According to reports, the reopening of the G216 highway enables heavy equipment to enter the affected area more easily. Chinese and Nepali rescuers continue searching for hundreds of people reported missing following the extreme weather events.
