Northampton director of rugby Phil Dowson says the club is working to “find a happy medium” in contract discussions with Henry Pollock after the player’s agent, Eddie Hearn, urged a seven-figure salary. Dowson comments come as Hearn suggests Pollock could command far higher wages elsewhere, arguing Pollock cannot remain at Northampton on his current terms.
BBC Sport reports Dowson is optimistic about agreeing an extension, despite the agent’s demands for very high annual figures. The Guardian Sport adds further detail, saying Pollock is understood to earn around £150,000 per season and that his current contract runs until the end of the 2026-27 campaign. Hearn has also warned that Pollock’s potential value increases if he moves to another club, framing the negotiations around what a new deal could look like.
