Hyundai Mobis opens a new EV components plant in Novaky, western Slovakia, producing “power electric systems” used in electric vehicle drivetrains. The company says the facility is its first power electric (PE) system production base in Europe and will manufacture components including electric motor stators, inverters, and other related parts. The plant’s annual production capacity reaches up to 280,000 PE systems.
Hyundai Mobis positions the investment as part of its broader electrification effort in Europe, noting it already operates battery system assembly plants in the Czech Republic and Spain. The company says it invests about 250 billion won (about $184 million) and the site covers roughly 106,000 square meters. PR Newswire highlights that senior Slovak government officials, including Prime Minister Robert Fico, attend the opening, emphasizing government-level support and cooperation.
