Delhi and central offices closed Sept. 11 for BRICS Leaders Summit

Central and Delhi government offices will close on September eleventh. This closure is due to the upcoming 18th BRICS Leaders Summit in New Delhi. Extensive security and logistical arrangements are being made for the international event. Leaders from approximately thirty countries will attend the summit and business forum. India is hosting the summit under its 2026 BRICS chairship.

The BRICS Business Forum and the 18th BRICS Leaders’ Summit are scheduled to be held from September 11 to 13 in New Delhi. The government announced the holiday to minimise inconvenience to the general public during the event.

The General Administration Department issued the notification on Thursday, September 3.According to the notification, the holiday has been declared in view of the summit and the arrangements connected with it.
