4A Games announces that Metro 2039 launches on February 4, 2027. The date is confirmed during a State of Play presentation, alongside the first released gameplay footage captured on PS5 Pro.

The new trailer showcases in-game exploration and combat, including a segment set in the remains of a location that leads to a confrontation with Novoreich forces. Outlets also highlight that the footage runs in a performance mode targeting 60 frames per second and includes ray tracing features. GameSpot adds that the ray-tracing presentation is part of the game’s technical foundation, describing Metro 2039 as the first Metro title built from the ground up for ray tracing.

Beyond Metro 2039 itself, GameSpot places the launch date in a broader context of other major releases planned for February 2027, while the Push Square coverage focuses more narrowly on the specific date and the PS5 Pro presentation.

Metro 2039 is scheduled for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 4, 2027.
