Students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) protest a prolonged industrial action by barricading major highways and roads near the university. Reports say the action follows the 68-day strike by university workers, which has kept academic activities suspended.
According to outlets, the protest takes place on Thursday and involves shutting access points. Vanguard reports students, led by the Students’ Union Government (SUG), block the university’s main gate and roads linking the campus to the highway. The Daily Post Nigeria also describes students in large numbers barricading major routes around the university community, citing the state government’s failure to resolve the strike.
