Final Fantasy Resonance is receiving a free playable demo available today on Nintendo Switch 1 and Nintendo Switch 2. The demo is tied to the game’s appearance during Sony’s State of Play, where a trailer for the title is shown and a demo availability is indicated.

According to outlet reports, the demo covers the game’s entire first chapter. Nintendo Life also says players can carry their save data from the demo into the full release, if they choose to buy the game. My Nintendo News similarly reports that the demo becomes available after the showcase and clarifies it is not limited to PlayStation.

While the outlets focus on Nintendo platforms, they both attribute the demo’s initial reveal to the State of Play event and emphasize accessibility for Switch users. Differences are mainly in presentation: one outlet highlights the video/trailer coverage, while the other provides more details about demo scope and save transfer.
