Samsung Display and LG Display are set to unveil next-generation OLED technologies at SID Display Week 2026 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, running Tuesday through Thursday (local time). The event, one of the largest in the global display industry, is hosted by the Society for Information Display (SID) and centers on display innovation aided by artificial intelligence under the theme “The Spectrum of Display Innovation with AI.”
Samsung Display will present new OLED focused on attributes including brightness, color accuracy, and sensor integration. The company is scheduled to debut “Flex Chroma Pixel,” a smartphone OLED designed to reach 3,000 nits in high brightness mode and cover 96% of the BT.2020 color space, which is used for ultra-high-definition and high dynamic range broadcasting. The technology is described as combining phosphorescent sensitized fluorescent elements, and Samsung positions it as part of its next wave of AI-aligned display development.
LG Display also announced that it will showcase next-generation OLED technologies at the same show, underscoring competition between the two Korean display makers and their continued push to advance OLED capabilities for future devices.
