Homegrown sneaker brand Comet raises ₹100 crore in a Series B funding round led by global investment firm Verlinvest. Existing investors Elevation Capital and Nexus Venture Partners also participate, according to the reports. The round includes participation from angel investors such as Abhiraj Singh Bhal, Ajit Mohan, and Anand Ahuja, alongside others.

Comet, based in Bengaluru and founded in 2023, says it plans to use the new capital to expand its retail presence and strengthen technology capabilities and product development, including investment in research and development. The company frames retail as a key growth driver, saying its stores are performing consistently within the athleisure markets it operates.

In terms of scale, Comet currently operates with four footwear models and aims to increase its portfolio to eight models by the end of next year. On store expansion, it targets reaching 10 stores by September 2026 and 20 stores by the end of FY27. Across outlets, the emphasis is largely on the funding amount, Verlinvest’s role, and the stated use of proceeds for retail and product development, with no conflicting details reported.
