Embracer Group is creating a new, separate holding company, Fellowship Entertainment, to house key legacy intellectual property including The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit and Tomb Raider. According to multiple reports, Fellowship Entertainment will be formed through a split within Embracer and is designed as an “IP-led” entertainment business. The new entity is expected to be listed on Nasdaq Stockholm.

Embracer retains ownership of the underlying IP rights for these franchises, and the spin-off structure is intended to place the brands in a dedicated vehicle rather than within Embracer’s broader operations. Variety reports that Embracer chair Lars Wingefors characterizes the company’s assets as “among the most undervalued in the industry,” positioning the reorganization as a way to unlock value. Deadline similarly describes Fellowship Entertainment as a separate, Stockholm-listed company that will manage the franchises tied to Embracer’s IP portfolio.

The move reflects Embracer’s plan to reorganize its assets into clearer business units around its IP holdings and associated entertainment opportunities.
