The U.S. Open is disputing claims by two social-media influencers that their media credentials were revoked after they posted photos and videos of the credentials online. Meg Radice and Audrey Jongens, who run the account “The VIP List,” say their credentials were withdrawn following their online posts.
According to Radice and Jongens, they believed the revocation occurred as a response to what they shared publicly. However, the tournament’s position is different. The U.S. Open says the credentials were “improperly submitted” as vendor staff, which does not align with the influencers’ account of why access was revoked.
Both outlets describe the same dispute: the influencers say their access is tied to their posts, while the U.S. Open challenges that interpretation and provides an alternative explanation focused on how the credentials were submitted and categorized. The disagreement centers on the circumstances leading to the withdrawal rather than on whether the credentials were ultimately revoked.
