The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) says it has arrested a suspected cocaine trafficker alleged to have been behind shipments to Saudi Arabia and has intercepted a fuel tanker reportedly used to move illicit drugs. NDLEA operatives also recovered drug consignments including cannabis and large numbers of opioid pills in related operations.
According to reporting, the arrested man is described as having previously been convicted in a cocaine case and is accused of running the drug trade through a business front, including an alleged herbal tea operation. NDLEA also intercepted a tanker carrying a large volume of fuel fitted with a concealed compartment for transporting drugs, and it recovered significant quantities of cannabis along with millions of opioid pills.
