India and Bangladesh discuss cultural cooperation during Nazrul Borsho celebrations

India and Bangladesh have discussed ways to deepen cultural cooperation, with classical music, folk art and heritage conservation among the key areas identified for greater engagement. The discussions come as Bangladesh observes a year-long celebration of the legacy of revolutionary poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.Indian High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi met Bangladesh’s Cultural Affairs Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury in Dhaka on Sunday. His writings championed freedom, equality and resistance to oppression and communalism.
