Cryptocurrency hardware wallet maker Trezor says a data breach at its shipping and logistics supplier, ShipMonk, has expanded in scope. In an update, Trezor states that the incident affects an additional 67,000 customers in the United States, bringing the total number of impacted customers to about 81,000.
The breach is described as occurring in August, with the exposure linked to information handled through ShipMonk as part of Trezor’s fulfillment process. The outlets report that earlier estimates were lower, and that the latest figures reflect revised counts as Trezor continues assessing what data was involved and which customers were affected.
While both sources focus on the expanded number of impacted U.S. customers and the role of ShipMonk in the supply chain, they largely rely on Trezor’s own statements for the updated totals.
