Aliko Dangote says the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals’ planned IPO has a minimum subscription of 10 ordinary shares, which totals N5,250. He makes the announcement as part of a signing ceremony in Lagos on Monday, describing the offer as aimed at ordinary Nigerians.
Dangote says the IPO includes 4.1 billion ordinary shares with a nominal value of $0.000013 each, offered at N525 per share. He adds that the fundraising goal is just over N2 trillion, which the company intends to use to expand the refinery. According to Dangote, the structure is meant to broaden participation so that workers and others connected to the business, as well as retail investors, can obtain a stake. Across the reports, the minimum investment amount, the per-share offer price, and the stated target to raise about N2 trillion are consistent.
While both outlets report the same key figures, they emphasize different framing: one highlights the share purchase threshold directly, while the other focuses more on the offer size, share count, and intended investor base for refinery expansion.
