The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a supplementary chargesheet in the Reliance Commercial Finance Ltd. (RCFL) case before the Special Judge for CBI Cases in Mumbai. The update names 17 accused, including executives of the Reliance ADA Group, private companies linked as entities, and bank officials involved with public sector banks.

According to the CBI, the case involves allegations of criminal conspiracy, criminal misappropriation, and cheating, along with offences under the Prevention of Corruption Act. The investigation alleges that funds borrowed by RCFL were diverted—through intermediary and conduit entities—to Reliance ADA Group companies in a manner that violates borrowing terms. The CBI states the alleged diversion totals Rs 6,229.54 crore and that the overall loss to banks and financial institutions is about Rs 9,280 crore.

The CBI had filed an earlier chargesheet on July 7, 2026 against seven accused. With the supplementary filing, the total number of persons and entities chargesheeted in the matter rises to 24. NDTV adds that the supplementary chargesheet names eight Reliance ADA Group firms, alongside six bank officials from Bank of Baroda, Punjab National Bank, and Indian Overseas Bank.
