Dunes Aviation files a civil defamation suit of ₹3 crore against actor Nora Fatehi in Gandhinagar, alleging that her social media comments about a chartered aircraft damage its reputation and business. The matter is listed for hearing before senior civil judge R Agarwal on September 25.
According to reports cited by outlets, the company says Nora posted videos from inside the aircraft used for a Mumbai–Jaipur flight in December last year. Dunes Aviation alleges she referred to the plane as a “miniature,” a “toy,” and a “Lego airplane.” The firm argues the actress’s large online following amplified the comments and claims booking cancellations and losses followed, estimating bookings fell by about 15–20%.
The aviation company also says the aircraft, a Cessna Citation CJ2, is standard for the route and is DGCA-certified and airworthy, operating legally under a Non-Scheduled Operator’s Permit (NSOP). It seeks ₹3 crore in damages, removal of the disputed posts or references, and a public clarification from Nora over the remarks.
