A man in Guwahati is accused of killing his wife, decapitating her, and keeping her head in a refrigerator. According to reports, neighbours reported a foul smell emanating from the couple’s apartment, leading to discovery of the body. The accused allegedly surrendered to police after the incident and reportedly confessed to the killing.

Sources describe the case as following an argument between the couple. Times of India reports that the man tells police he had “no regrets” and links the killing to frequent quarrels. NDTV reports similar details and says the case becomes widely known on September 6 after neighbours complained of the smell. Times of India further states that the accused said he would also harm the woman’s “sugar daddy,” while other outlets focus more on the discovery and the accused’s confession. A court sends the accused to seven days of police custody, as reported by Times of India.
