Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, launches the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Katsina to mobilise grassroots support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The launch takes place at People’s Square in Katsina and includes the inauguration of 34 local government coordinators as well as the presentation of campaign vehicles to them. Tompolo, who personally signs a statement announcing the event, says the movement is intended to strengthen grassroots engagement and help people understand the administration’s programmes and achievements by reaching out door to door, ward by ward, and community by community.

State officials and party-aligned actors attending the event frame Katsina as supportive of Tinubu’s bid. Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda assures Tinubu of the state’s backing, describing Katsina as an APC stronghold with established political structures. He links the state’s support to historical political cooperation, including Tinubu’s role in the emergence of former President Muhammadu Buhari as the APC candidate in 2015 and earlier regional engagement under programmes associated with the late Umaru Musa Yar’Adua. Other speakers also cite party unity across the state’s wards and local government areas.
