Modi is presented the medal at the FAO headquarters in Rome by Dr. Qu Dongyu, the FAO Director-General, after arriving in Italy on the concluding leg of a five-nation tour. He also frames the award within India’s agricultural direction toward “Producing Better,” linking it to biodiversity and the use of technology.
