A 12-foot Ganesh idol topples in Kurla while being transported to Dharavi, and two people suffer minor injuries. According to reports, the idol is being moved from Belbazar to Dharavi when it reportedly loses balance while crossing a speed breaker. Two individuals associated with the transport, identified as Santosh Jaiswar and Rohit Jaiswar, are hurt. They are taken to Bhabha Hospital for treatment.
The idol belongs to the Om Shakti Welfare Foundation and is linked to the Prem Nagarcha Maharaja Ganesh mandal. After the incident, mandal authorities immerse the idol in the nearby Sheetal Talao. Outlets also describe it as the second similar toppling incident during preparations for this year’s Ganeshotsav.
