Jim Geoghan, the television writer and producer who co-created Disney Channel’s “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody,” dies at age 79 in Los Angeles. Multiple outlets report that his death is confirmed by his daughter, Genevieve Geoghan.

The reports largely agree on his role with the series, which launched in 2005 and starred the Sprouse twins alongside Ashley Tisdale and other cast. Variety, Deadline, and Hollywood Reporter describe Geoghan as co-creator and executive producer, with the Hollywood Reporter and Deadline adding that he created the show alongside Danny Kallis. Deadline notes that a cause of death is not immediately available. Outlet coverage also differs slightly on the reported date of death—some cite Sept. 6, while others cite Sept. 7—while still describing the same passing and age.

All sources characterize Geoghan as a Disney TV veteran associated with the sitcom’s success during its run.
