Adani Airport Holdings Ltd (AAHL), a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, is raising $1 billion (about Rs 9,825 crore) through a primary equity investment. Multiple outlets report that AAHL has secured binding agreements for this capital raise from a group of global investors.

The investors named across sources include Alpha Wave Global, Premji Invest, Temasek and BlackRock-managed funds. NDTV and other outlets say the transaction values AAHL at about $18 billion on a pre-money equity basis. The company says the funding is intended to support expansion of airport infrastructure and broader “airport city” and integrated ecosystem development.

While outlets broadly align on the investors and amount, they vary in emphasis. Times of India highlights plans to expand infrastructure and develop integrated city ecosystems to position AAHL as a leading global platform. The Free Press Journal adds detail on specific growth areas, including modernization and capacity expansion, mixed-use development and related non-aeronautical businesses. It also notes AAHL’s scale, including that it manages eight airports and handles a significant share of passenger traffic in India.
