In earlier records, his listing includes “Prof C N R Rao,” while the newer roll shows “Prof C N Rf Rao” (with an extra “f”). Times of India also notes that economist Amartya Sen faced a similar spelling issue during the same kind of revision, but Sen is exempted from appearing in person.
