Deloitte projects that U.S. holiday retail sales from November 2026 through January 2027 will total between $1.70 trillion and $1.71 trillion. The outlook expects year-over-year growth, according to the forecasts cited by outlets including Forbes and PR Newswire.

The reports also highlight expected e-commerce performance during the same period. Deloitte estimates online holiday sales will range from $316.1 billion to $318.9 billion, representing year-over-year growth of about 7.5% to 8.4%, the PR Newswire release says. Forbes frames the forecast in terms of reaching $1.7 trillion or more.

While the outlet coverage differs mainly in how it describes the range and growth framing, both sources point to Deloitte’s central estimates for total holiday spending and the subset coming from e-commerce.
