INEC uploads NDC’s new logo and updates party leadership details after court order

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has uploaded the new logo of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) on its official website.INEC has also updated the party’s leadership details. Cleopas Moses Zuwoghe is listed as National Chairman, while Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu appears as National Secretary.John Odey is recorded as National Treasurer, Mainasara Abubakar Sani as National Financial Secretary, and Reuben Egwuaba as National Legal Adviser.The commission noted that the five leadership positions were updated “by court order,” confirming that the NDC’s new logo is recognised in line with a judicial directive.The development follows a judgment delivered by Justice J. O. Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court in Abuja. In the suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/1814/2026, the NDC sought recognition of its modified logo and colour design after INEC declined to upload the version adopted at the party’s first National Executive Committee meeting.On Tuesday, 8 September 2026, Justice Abdulmalik ruled in the party’s favour, declaring INEC’s refusal unconstitutional, illegal and a violation of the political party’s rights.
