Chase updates its Air Canada Aeroplan co-branded credit card, adding new benefits including automatic Aeroplan 25K status and a discount on awards, while also increasing the card’s annual fee. The changes add additional credits and enhanced earning on broad travel, according to the outlets.

Both sources report that cardmembers receive automatic 25K status without meeting spending requirements, along with a 15% discount on Aeroplan award redemptions. The updated structure also includes new or adjusted credits and changes to earn rates, such as 3 points per dollar on broad travel.

The main difference in emphasis across outlets is how the higher fee is presented. One outlet highlights the overall package of new perks alongside the increased annual fee, while the other focuses more on the practical tradeoff: it frames the $195 annual fee increase as potentially offset by Air Canada credits, but notes that certain previous accelerators (including grocery and dining) are no longer included or are reduced under the refresh.
