BTS is bringing its ‘BTS World Tour ‘ARIRANG’’ concerts from South America to cinemas worldwide through live viewing events. The screenings include the group’s Oct. 24 performance in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and its Oct. 30 show in São Paulo, Brazil, with the events presented in movie theaters in multiple countries and regions.
According to BIGHIT MUSIC, tickets are scheduled to go on sale Sept. 17. The company says sales in Korea open sequentially starting at 10 a.m., while global ticket sales begin at 10 p.m. Screenings are planned to be shown live or on a delayed basis depending on local time zones. Audiences in Korea, much of Asia, and Australia are expected to view the concerts one to two days after the performances.
Billboard and the Korea Times both describe the initiative as a first for South America, with the events airing in cinemas worldwide in October. The screenings are expected to use large screens and enhanced sound systems to recreate the concert experience. The Korea Times also notes similar live viewing events in other locations, including in Korea and Tokyo.
