A Delhi paying-guest (PG) operator, Shubham Tyagi, who had been evading authorities after a building collapse, surrenders before a court. According to reports, police had been searching for him at multiple locations since the incident.
The collapse occurred at a five-storey building in Satya Niketan and results in seven deaths, including five students, with others also injured. The outlets describe Tyagi as being associated with running the PG establishment in the building.
Following his surrender, Tyagi is produced before the court and police seek custody to continue investigations. The reports also state that investigators examine links to another suspect, Sudhanshu Lovneesh, who is already in custody, and look into communications relevant to what occurred during repair work at the time of the collapse.
