Two female students of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) regain their freedom after being abducted along the road between the university and the Ihiagwa community in Imo State.
The abduction happens on Sunday, according to multiple reports. Vanguard and Daily Post both say the students were taken along the stretch linking the institution and Ihiagwa. Daily Post quotes the university’s Public Relations Officer, Orakwe Ezugwu, as confirming the release in a statement issued on Friday, while The Punch reports that FUTO management also confirms the students have been released.
