'Haiwaan', the Priyadarshan-directed crime thriller starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, has opened to a modest response at the box office, entering Day 2 with its overall net collection still under Rs. 4 crore. The film, a remake of Priyadarshan's own Malayalam hit 'Oppam', now faces the challenge of building momentum through its first weekend as it competes for screen space and audience attention against other major releases currently running in theatres.
